CELEBRATE FIESTA DE SANTA FE
One of Santa Fe’s oldest and most treasured traditions returns this September. The 314th Fiesta de Santa Fe, brings music, food, arts and crafts, mariachi and colorful celebrations to the historic Plaza and throughout downtown. The festivities kick into high gear this weekend with markets, performances and longtime favorites including the beloved Pet Parade.
TASTE SANTA FE
September means chile season in New Mexico, and you’ll know it the minute you arrive. Follow the unmistakable aroma of roasting green chile around town or stop by the Santa Fe Farmers Market on a Tuesday or Saturday morning to experience the flavors of the season.
Later in the month, the 35th Annual Santa Fe Wine & Chile Fiesta, September 23–27, brings together some of Santa Fe’s best restaurants with wineries from around the world for tastings, chef events, special dinners and culinary experiences throughout the city. The signature Grand Tasting takes place Saturday, September 26.
GET YOUR ART FIX
You don’t need an itinerary to experience Santa Fe’s art scene. Spend an afternoon gallery hopping along Canyon Road, explore downtown museums or visit the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum for a closer look at one of New Mexico’s most iconic artists.
